Negotiate a Debt Settlement

i need to write a letter on debt negotiation, any ideas?

1. Be honest about your situation. Tell the company you're writing what funds you have available and set up some type of arrangement. This shows them that while you might not be able to pay everything, you are making an effort.
2. Make it clear you are only negotiating a payment arrangement. Begin your letter with "this is not a refusal to pay". Also note that paying off an overdue debt does not remove it from your credit report. Get the creditor to agree IN WRITING to remove all negative information from your credit history before you pay them a dime.
